SENATE COMMITTEE ON PUBLIC ACCOUNT IS NOT WITCH HUNTING ANY BODY ——SEN. WADADA

The Chairman Senate Committee on Public Account ,Senator Aliyu Ahmed Wadada has said that the committee is not witch hunting any Ministries ,Departments or Agencies but were invited to answer query relating to 2019 budget appropriation.
Wadada stated this to Newsmen in Keffi local government ,Nasarawa state.According to him, the MDAs invitation to the committee are for transparency and accountability in the management of public funds Wadada, who is Representing the good people of Nasarawa West Senatorial Zone under the platform of the Social Democratic Party(S.D.P) also double as Sarkin Yakin Keffi.
He explained that the committee has over 774 ministries ,agencies and department to scrutinize for proper records and accountability,Noting that Public Accounts Committee will hold any goverment Institutions responsible for arbitrary miss management of Public funds and resources, being reasons the committee embarked on proper examination of all financial documents including reports submitted from the office of the Auditor-General.
The Senator said inviting MDAs for scrutiny is not witch-hunt but for restoration of value and transformation as well as repositioning of government institutions for trust and reliability .
Senator Wadada also expressed confidence and trust in the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu saying Mr. President has support the National Assembly especially all committees to do a good job for the interest of the country ,adding that the committee were happy for the prompt appointment of the new Auditor General of the Federation.
He also stated that ,his Constituency priorities are to satisfy the yearnings and aspirations of his people who voted him to represent them,saying that as a senator he is operating an open door policy and also working with grassroots to meet up with their demands.he futher noted that the agency’s primary assignment is not limited to collection of taxes alone but also involves engendering of orderliness he added
