The newly turbanned Sarkin Gabas Asokotefe, Alhaji Isah Kogi, who is a renowned traditional Leader, has called on all tiers of government and politicians to come to the aid of his immediate community, Masaka. by attracting development to the community.


He dropped this hint in his palace at Masaka, Karu Local government Area of Nasarawa State, immediately after the turbanning ceremony was done on saturday, 21st of March, 2026. in Aso, Maraba, Karu Local government Area of Nasarawa State.


It will interest you to know what , the respected community leader, Alhaji Isah Kogi, is conferred with this new prestigios traditional title, Sarkin Gabas Aso Kotefe, in recognition of his contributions to peace, unity, and development at the grassroots; as well as, humanity at large.

The honour was bestowed on him by Alhaji Uzeru Samaila, the Sarkin Hausawa of Aso, during a ceremony attended by community Leaders ,members, associates, and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate the milestone.

Speaking shortly after receiving the title, Alhaji Isah Kogi—who also holds the title of Sarkin Bakin Masaka—expressed gratitude for the recognition, describing it as both an honour and a call to greater service. He pledged to continue working harder to ensure peaceful coexistence amongst the people under his leadership. In his words,

“With this honour, I will redouble my efforts to promote unity and harmony among our people. Peace remains the foundation of any meaningful development,” he stressed.

The community leader also commended his people for their steadfast support, noting that their cooperation has been instrumental to his achievements, so far. He urged them to sustain the spirit of togetherness and mutual respect.

Alhaji Isah Kogi further used the occasion to call on government at all levels to partner with traditional institutions in addressing poverty and improving the welfare of citizens.

In his view,stronger collaboration would enable community leaders to better serve their people and drive development initiatives.

In a goodwill message to mark the Sallah season, he encouraged residents to live in peace with one another, act as their brothers’ keepers, and extend support to the less privileged in society.

Also speaking at the event, Kabiru Wakilin Masaka commended Alhaji Isah Kogi for his dedication to community service and humanitarian efforts. He noted that the recognition was well deserved, given the leader’s consistent commitment to improving the lives of those around him.

The conferment ceremony highlighted the enduring role of traditional leadership in fostering unity, promoting cultural values, and supporting socio-economic development at the grassroots level .
