At interaction with Distinguished Senator Abba Moro who is the 10th Senate Minority Leader, who indeed beared his mind reflecting over Benue State Local Government Election held on the 5th of October Saturday 2024.
He described as a Sham and a charade to Democracy seeking rescue Operation and calling Nigerians of goodwill to rise very promptly to this eroding manipulation, presently championed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of All Progressive Congress(APC) led Federal Government of Nigeria.
During the media parley with the Senator in his office on Tuesday 8th October, 2024, the former Minister of Interior lamented how democracy is sleeping off hand as he described the election as a sham and a charade.

The lawmaker further noted that local Government polls is a gradual destruction of democracy and urged all Nigerians to rise up to the challenge, where Governors are fighting for the local Government Allocation, “They are just after money so they put their surrogate in place so that they can have authority over the coffers of the various local governments. I have been talking with some of my colleagues and some other commentators, we are prepared to face up to the challenge.”, Sen Morro stated.
He recalled that elections took place in isolated places that In Some local Government Such as Zonzi in Agatufo for instance election took place in council wards including Ogule, Kaduna where a candidate of PDP scored 575,557 to beat APC candidate who had 501 votes as was so declared at the venue of election but of course as observed in virtually all the places no electoral materials were taken there, so they had only photocopies of results sheet even though the people say okey fine; if you say photocopy that you recorded the results, give us and they recorded the results and he gave them but at the Headquarters of Benue State Independent Commission, they disowned those results.
According to the Senator, this happened in.more other LG,where elections were held in isolated wards . PDP won in the only ward where the election was conducted, unfortunately too they didn’t give the person the certificate of return,” this is what happened in Benue state over the weekend especially Benue South Senatorial District and reiterated that what happened indeed was a sham.
