Senate Tasks FHA Leadership On Hard Work, Need For Inclusion in Appropriation Act.

By Moses Agbe -NASS AbujaThe Senate Committee on Federal Housing Authority (FHA)has urged the Leadership of FHA to work hard towards self-reliance and to lobby their way to be re- enlisted to join other sister government agencies that benefit from annual budgetary provision in order to boost their financial base and achieve affordable housing for all Nigerians in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Speaking through the Committee Chairman, Sen. AminuTambuwal, the Committee stressed the need to explore feasible ways to raise the financial profile of the agency and research deeply to unravel the circumstances that led to delisting the agency from benefitting from the Nation’s annual budget in order to regain their statutory provision from the National budget.

The Committee also assured the FHA management team of their unflinching support in order to help them realize their mandate of providing affordable housing for all in accordance with Mr. President’s vision and mission in the housing sector.

While congratulations the new team on their well deserved appointments, the Committee was quick to put them on their toes to work hard towards financial selfreliance as the only yardstick to overcome the challenging task ahead of them and justify the confidence reposed on them by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The Senate Committee members that were present which also included Senators Emmanuel Udende, Osita lzunaso, Abdullahi Yahaya, Anthony Nwoye and Peter Jiya amongst others.

Earlier, the Managing Director (MD) of FHA, Hon. Olatunde ojo solicited the Cooperation, Synergy, support and crucial partnership with the parliament in order to realize the aims and objectives of their assignment which is primarily centered on affordable housing for all inline with the Renewed Hope Agenda of Pressdent Bola Tinubu.

The FHA Boss also stressed that they have deemed it fit to first, pay a courtesy call on the Senate as the Priority because the success of their assignment is Largely dependent on the support and inputs of the senate Committee.

Some of the management team that accompanied the FHA Boss were, Dr.Marthias Byuan-Executive Director( ED), Finance and Accounts, Mr Alhaji Umaru Abdullahi( ED), Business Development, Mrs Oluremi Omowaiye (ED)- Project Implementation, and Mr. Ezekiel Dya-Elok (ED), Estate Services.
