CNA KAMORU OGUNLANA, PACE SETTER IN POSITIVEREFORMS .

The Clerk to the biggest African democracy, the National Assembly, Abuja (CNA), a legal Titan, a bureaucratic Icon, an experienced Technocrat of repute, a man full of administrative acumen, a proactive Leader who is carrying out pragmatic reforms in National Assembly since he assumed office, taking the mantle of leadership of the 10th National Assembly after the the retirement of his predecessor, Alhaji Sani Magaji Tambuwal .

Barely 6 months of taking over the mantle of leadership as CNA, the legal luminary, Barr. Kamoru Ogunlana has embarked on several positive reforms to reposition staff of the National Assembly for maximum output.


Having completed the training of management staff, most of them were elevated and posted to assume higher responsibilities as a mark of motivation to service, he quickly turned his search light on Legislative Aides, arranged them in batches to accommodate everybody because of the large number of Legislative aAides to ensure effective results, typical of an experienced Technocrat.

The CNA has also commenced steps to reform the conditions of service and terms of employment of Legislative Aides to be commensurate with their services as a mark of motivation for maximum output to help Legislators deliver dividends of democracy to their constituents speedily and maximally.. The No1 Management staff of the National Assembly, CNA Kamoru Ogunlana let the cat out of the bag during his address toSi the first batch of Legislative Aides training comprising of Special Advisers, Special Assistants, Senior Legislative aAides (SLAs) to Principal Officers of both chambers and Senior Legislative aAides of Honourable Members in ‘A’ Class, Garden, Maitama, Abuja.

Barr Kamoru Ogunlana,an outstanding Clerk in the history of National Assembly Clerks so far is a man that believes in team work. He believes in sharing responsibilities to his subordinates to accommodate various shades of opinions for collective and optimum result. for instance, shortly he resumed duty as CNA, he began working on the review of the 2023 Pension Act of National Assembly, bringing on the table, recommendations that will make the Act workable and implementable through a management Bill that received a lot of applause from the critical stake holders in a public hearing organized by House of Representatives before the recess, which the House promised to liaise with the management for easy passage and assent.

It will interest you to know that, this came to the public domain through his Deputy Clerk to National Assembly (CNA), Engr. Bashir Yero, who stood in for CNA, Barr. Kamoru Ogunlana who spoke well about his Boss and did justice to the recommendations for the amendments, justifying the typical character and rich qualities of a team work ambassador, CNA Kamoru Ogunlana, the Legal legend.

It will interest you to know that, the biggest milestone of all the reforms have been carried out by the Legal Titan, CNA Kamoru Ogunlana is a management Bill he sponsored to establish an agency owned and managed by National Assembly for maintenance and services of National Assembly property, and equipment/ facilities for effective management, cost efficiency and prompt delivery of results, which the big “parliamentary Management Masquerade,” , CNA Kamoru Ogunlana appeared himself at the public hearing organized by House of Representatives and mounted the podium in defence for the justification of the proposed Bill that attracted massive support from ccriticalal stake holders for the passage of the Bill.
